The Bond beam was cracked and in need of repair. The original swimming pool builder poured the pool deck using no expansion foam either around the house or around the pool. So when the earthquake came the house hit against the deck and broke the pool bond beam at the tile line. We removed all damage Bond beam , added expansion foam around the new coping , doweled in steel on the top of the bond beam , and installed new tile. We also were contracted to repair the crack in the spa step. After excavation of the step , we realized it was all powdered Gunite and we had to rebuild entire step with steel and high-strength concrete.
